Good to know
Yes. Cold spark machines produce a fireworks-style effect with no flame and very little heat, so the sparks are cool enough to touch within a few inches of the fountain. Most Ottawa venues allow them where traditional pyrotechnics are banned, but it is worth asking your venue about cold spark machines by name.
Four to eight weeks is comfortable for a Saturday in peak season (May to October, plus December). Off-peak dates are often available with a week or two of notice. If your date is close, call us — we may still have a slot.
Cold spark fountains need about a metre of clearance and around three metres of height. Setup takes 45 to 90 minutes depending on the package, and we arrive well before guests do. Takedown is ours to handle after the event.
Packages start at $300. The final price depends on which effects you want, how long we are on site, and where the venue is. Send us your date and we will come back with a written quote, usually the same day.
Ottawa and the surrounding region, including Kanata, Nepean, Barrhaven, Orleans, Stittsville, Gatineau, Hull and Aylmer. We travel further for full-night packages — just ask.
Dry ice low fog sits at floor level and dissipates as it warms, so it rarely reaches ceiling detectors. CO2 jets disperse in seconds. We check the venue's detector type during planning and adjust placement.
That is what the full-night package is for. One team, one invoice, one setup crew — the effects are cued to the music instead of being run by a separate vendor who has never met your DJ.
